''Madhuca longifolia'' is an Indian tropical tree found largely in the central, southern, north Indian plains and forests, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Sri Lanka. It is commonly known as madhūka, mahura, , mahuwa, Butter Tree, mahura, mahwa, , Iluppai, Mee or Ippa-chettu. It is a fast-growing tree that grows to approximately 20 meters in height, possesses evergreen or semi-evergreen foliage, and belongs to the family Sapotaceae. It is adaptable to arid environments, being a prominent tree in tropical mixed deciduous forests in India in the states of Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. Mahua Waterfall () is a plunge type waterfall located in Patau Village, Tambunan District of Sabah, Malaysia within the Crocker Range National Park administered by Sabah Parks under the state Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment. The waterfall has a height of with 1.2 metres deep which became one of the ecotourism attractions for the district as well for Sabah. Tourism Mahua Waterfall is one of Sabah's nature attractions which has been opened to the public since 2003 and become tourist destination for both local and foreign visitors. Mahua Moitra (; born 12 October 1974) is an Indian politician and former investment banker. She won the 2019 Indian general election as an Trinamool Congress (TMC) party candidate from Krishnanagar and served as a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from 2019 to 2023 until being expelled. She was re-elected to parliament in the 2024 Indian general election. Moitra served as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly representing Karimpur from 2016 to 2019, and served as the general secretary and national spokesperson of the AITC. On 13 November 2023, Moitra was appointed AITC District President of Krishnanagar (Nadia North). She was an investment banker at JPMorgan Chase before entering politics. Mahua Mukherjee is an exponent of the Indian classical dance form Gaudiya Nritya. She is a researcher and teacher at Rabindra Bharati University and Dean of the faculty of fine arts . Along with her husband Amitava Mukherjee, she has been reviving the dance style through her career from 1980s. She has also given performances and lectures as visiting professor like at the University of Oklahoma, USA. She has learned the dance from Bratindranath, Sashi Mahato, Narottam Sanyal, Gambhir Singh Mudha, Mukund Das Bhattacharya and other practitioners of the Chhau, Nachni, Kushan and Kirtaniya traditions. Mahua Roy Choudhury (; 24 September 1958 – 22 July 1985) was an Indian actress who is recognized for her work in Bengali cinema.
