Mahmudul Hoque
Mahmudul Hoque is a Justice of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Hoque was born on 13 December 1958. He has a bachelor's of law and masters of art from the University of Chittagong. Career Hoque became a lawyer in the District Courts on 26 September 1984 and in the High Court Division on 8 January 1987. On 14 June 2012, Hoque was appointed an additional judge of the High Court Division. In September, Hoque and Justice MR Hasan dismissed a corruption case against Obaidul Karim, chairman of Orion Group, in which he was accused of brbing former prime minister Khaleda Zia to receive the contract for the Gulistan-Jatrabari flyover. In March 2013, Hoque and Justice AHM Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik refused the bail application of the chairman of Hallmark-Sonali Bank Loan Scam, Hall-Mark Group in 11 corruption cases. The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. Cadet Pollen murder refers to the murder of Cadet Sharmila Shaharin Pollen in Mymensingh Girls' Cadet College in 2005. The college authorities attempted to cover up her murder and make it look like a suicide. History Pollen was a second year, grade 12, student in Mymensingh Girls' Cadet College. She had received GPA 5 in her SSC examinations in 2003 and was preparing for her upcoming HSC. Her father was Abul Bashar Patwary, a retired air force officer. She was found dead in Shanti House, a dorm of the college, on 11 February 2005. On 19 February 2005, her father filed a case with Cognisance Court No-1. Farah Mahbub (born 27 May 1966) is a Bangladeshi justice of the High Court Division. Early life and education Farah Mahbub's father, Mahbubur Rahman, is a senior advocate in the Supreme Court & former minister of Bangladesh. Farah Mahbub passed SSC from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in 1983 and HSC from Holy Cross College in 1985. She completed her undergraduate degree and post graduation in law from the University of Dhaka. Career Farah Mahbub was enrolled as an advocate of the District Court on 15 September 1992.
