Mahmoud Abu Watfa
Mahmoud Abu Watfa headed the interior ministry in the Hamas government within the Gaza Strip, overseeing police and internal security. After the temporary Israel-Hamas ceasefire from January-March 2025 he was seen patrolling Gaza City with police offers. He was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City on 18 March 2025, along with several other hamas officials. Watfa held the rank of General. 2025 Gaza War Ceasefire
