The 2009–10 Liga Leumit was the 11th season since it became the second-tier in 1999 and the 68th season of second-tier football in Israel. It began on 21 August 2009 and ended on 15 May 2010. The 2007–08 Liga Alef season saw Hapoel Umm al-Fahm (champions of the North Division) and Maccabi Ironi Bat Yam (champions of the South Division) winning the title and promotion to Liga Artzit. At the bottom, the bottom two clubs in each division, Hapoel Ahva Haifa, Hapoel Makr (from North division), Maccabi Ironi Amishav Petah Tikva and Ironi Ofakim (from South division) were all automatically relegated to Liga Bet, whilst the two clubs which were ranked in 12th place in each division, Beitar Haifa and Hapoel Tzafririm Holon entered a promotion/relegation play-offs, and both relegated to Liga Bet after losing the play-offs. The 2014–15 Toto Cup Leumit was the 24th season of the second tier League Cup (as a separate competition) since its introduction. It was held in two stages. First, sixteen Liga Leumit teams were divided into four regionalized groups. The winners and runners-up advanced to the quarter-finals. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and the Final were held as one-legged matches. The 2011–12 Israel State Cup (, ''Gvia HaMedina'') was the 73rd season of Israel's nationwide football cup competition and the 58th after the Israeli Declaration of Independence.
