Mahir Çayan (15 March 1946 – 30 March 1972) was a Turkish communist revolutionary and the leader of People's Liberation Party-Front of Turkey ( Turkish: ''Türkiye Halk Kurtuluş Partisi-Cephesi''). He was a Marxist–Leninist revolutionary leader. On 30 March 1972, he was killed in an ambush by Turkish Military Forces with nine of the other members of THKP-C and THKO in the Kızıldere Incident. His picture-laden personal homepage, which exclaimed, in broken English, his love of the accordion, travel, and women, was visited by millions and spawned numerous fansites and parodies, one of which was featured on Fox's ''MadTV'' (season 5, episode 20). Mehmet Mahir Tomruk (1885–1949) was a Turkish sculptor who is one of lead figures in pre-Republic sculpture. He is one of the sculptors to be educated in the Sanayi-i Nefise in the time before the foundation of the Turkish Republic where ha later taught many famous sculptors. His busts are considered powerful works in the scope of fine art and his style is reminiscent of the effects of German Neo-classicism. In 1916, he graduated from the Sanayi-i Nefise Mektebi where he was the student of İhsan Özsoy. He worked in the Munich Fine Arts Academy in the atelier of Prof. Kurtz and Prof. Belecker. Mahir Yağcılar (; ) (born 6 May 1961 in Prizren, FPR Yugoslavia, modern Kosovo) is a Turkish Kosovar politician and the president of Turkish nationalist and conservative Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo (KDTP). Yağcılar graduated from Faculty of Traffic and Communications at the University of Sarajevo in 1984. He had worked as a manager at the Kosovar transportation company Kosovatrans.
