Mahananda (film)
''Mahananda'' is a 2022 Indian Bengali-language biographical film directed by Arindam Sil. The film is produced by Firdausul Hasan and Probal Halder under the banner of Friends Communication. The film is based on the life and works of the eminent writer and socio-political activist Mahasweta Devi. The film stars Gargi Roychowdhury in the title role. Plot Mohal Basu, an enthusiastic college student, wants to pursue her PhD research on the writer and socio-political activist Mahananda Bhattacharya. For that, she goes to Mahananda herself and a series of events occur in their lives which change Mohal mentally. Arindam Sil
Arindam Sil (born 12 March 1964) is an Indian actor, film director and line producer who predominantly works in Bengali films. Early life Sil was born on 12 March 1964 in North Calcutta to a traditional joint family. He was a student of St. Joseph's College, Calcutta, and St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, from where he passed ICSE, ISC & B Com (Hons) examinations. He then pursued M.B.A. in marketing from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management at the University of Calcutta. He gave up his PhD at USA to pursue his interest in becoming an actor. In 2012 he directed a movie ''Aborto''. Sahana Bajpaie
Sahana Bajpaie (born 6 February) is an Indian singer-songwriter and a contemporary Rabindra Sangeet vocalist in Bengali. Born in Siliguri and brought up in Santiniketan, Sahana started singing by the age of three. She released her debut album '' Notun Kore Pabo Bole'' in 2007 from Dhaka, Bangladesh, which was a collection of Rabindra Sangeet. Her second album ''Shikawr'' released in 2014 with several musicians from West Bengal. Sahana's second Rabindra Sangeet album ''Ja Bolo Tai Bolo'' was released in 2015 and the latest solo album, ''Mon Bandhibi Kemone'' in 2016.
