Mahakaal (1994 Film)
''Mahakaal'', also known as ''Mahakaal: The Monster'', is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language horror film directed by Shyam Ramsay and Tulsi Ramsay, known as the Ramsay Brothers. The film borrows numerous elements from the 1984 American film ''A Nightmare on Elm Street'' and its sequels, including its antagonist, Shakaal—who, like ''Elm Street''s Freddy Krueger, is a razor-gloved killer who can murder people through their dreams. Blending elements of mysticism, black magic and slapstick comedy, ''Mahakaal'' is the second Bollywood film derived from ''A Nightmare on Elm Street'', following 1989's '' Khooni Murda'', which was produced by Mohan Bhakri. Shyam Ramsay
Shyam Ramsay (17 May 1952 – 18 September 2019) was a Bollywood film director. He was one of the seven Ramsay Brothers who were active in Indian cinema throughout the 1970s and the 1980s. Shyam Ramsay was considered the main artist and head of this group. They produced a number of horror movies such as ''Darwaza'' (1978), ''Purana Mandir'' (1984), and '' Veerana'' (1988). Their popularity waned towards the end of the 1980s, as Ramsay started diverting his creative energy and focus on television programming which was in demand because of the multiple private channels such as Zee TV, Star Plus etc. that were launched in the early nineties in India. Slapstick Comedy
Slapstick is a style of humor involving exaggerated physical activity that exceeds the boundaries of normal physical comedy. Slapstick may involve both intentional violence and violence by mishap, often resulting from inept use of props such as saws and ladders.
