Magyar Idők
''Magyar Idők'' ('', '') was a short-lived national conservative Hungarian newspaper, associated with the Fidesz government. It was formed from ''Napi Gazdaság'' ('Daily Business'), a business newspaper founded in 1991. In 2013 it was sold to Századvég Gazdaságkutató, a think tank associated with the Fidesz political party. On 20 April 2015 it was bought by Gábor Liszkay, former editor of ''Magyar Nemzet''. The last publication of Napi Gazdaság was 31 August 2015 and Magyar Idők was launched next day. The paper came from a fallout between Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and media owner Lajos Simicska who since declared his support for the Jobbik party. Pro-Orban journalists left Simicska-owned outlets (mainly ''Magyar Nemzet'') and set up the pro-government newspaper. Viktor Orbán
Viktor Mihály Orbán (; born 31 May 1963) is a Hungarian lawyer and politician who has been the 56th prime minister of Hungary since 2010, previously holding the office from 1998 to 2002. He has also led the Fidesz political party since 2003, and previously from 1993 to 2000. He was re-elected as prime minister in 2014, 2018, and 2022. ''Billy Elliot: The Musical'' is a Coming-of-age story, coming-of-age stage musical based on the Billy Elliot, 2000 film of the same name. The music is by Elton John, and the book and lyrics are by Lee Hall (playwright), Lee Hall, who wrote the film's screenplay. Lajos Simicska
Lajos Simicska (born 28 January 1960) is a former Hungarian business magnate, a former politician of Fidesz, and he was the head of APEH, Hungary's internal revenue service between 1998–1999, during the first government of Viktor Orbán. He was the ninth richest person in Hungary in 2016 (dropped to 49th in 2020). He had extensive media interests, which included '' Magyar Nemzet'', the number one daily conservative newspaper, the radio station Lánchíd Rádió, the weekly magazine Heti Válasz and the television network Hír TV. ''Napi Gazdaság'' (, ) was a Budapest-based daily newspaper published from 1991 to 2015. The daily focused on financial and business news. It was succeeded by '' Magyar Idők'', a conservative political daily on 1 September 2015. History and profile ''Napi Gazdaság'' was based in Budapest. In the late 1990s the owner of the daily bankrupted, and a group of young investors bought it. During this period the paper was independent and covered investigative reports. The Central European Media and Publishing Co. (CEMP) acquired 50% of the daily in 2007. It was owned by CEMP until August 2013 when it was sold to the think tank and research center Századvég Economic Research Inc. (Századvég Gazdaságkutató in Hungarian).
