Magenta Air was an airline based in Lima, Peru, which operated scheduled domestic services.Flight International 12–18 April 2005 History The airline was established in 2002 and started operations in September of that year. It was wholly owned by Peruvian nationals. Its first aircraft, a Bombardier Dash 8 Q100 had already been acquired in July. In 2004, a Boeing 737-200 joined the fleet. Both aircraft were withdrawn from service in early 2005, which marks the end of the Managnta Air flight operations. Its assets were sold to Aero Continente and Star Perú. Jorge Chávez International Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez) is Peru's main international and domestic airport. It is located in Callao, northwest from Lima Center, the nation's capital city and from the district of Miraflores. During 2017, the airport served 22,025,704 passengers. Historically, the airport was the hub for Compañía de Aviación Faucett and Aeroperú. Now it serves as a hub for many aviation companies. Cajamarca (), also known by the Quechua name, ''Kashamarka'', is the capital and largest city of the Cajamarca Region as well as an important cultural and commercial center in the northern Andes. Atlantic Airlines de Honduras was an airline based in La Ceiba, Honduras, which operated domestic and regional passenger flights, mostly out of the city's Golosón International Airport, as well as Toncontín International Airport (Tegucigalpa). History The company was founded in 2001 by Atlantic Airlines, an airline from Nicaragua, using assets from Rollins Air. In October 2008, Atlantic Airlines de Honduras cancelled all flights and the bad safety reputation it had received following the crash of one of its Boeing 737-200 aircraft (registered YV102T) on 30 August of that year, killing the three persons on board. Tarapoto is a commercial hub town in the San Martín Province of the Department of San Martín of northern Peru. It is an hour by plane from Lima, in the high jungle plateau to the east of what is known as the ''selva baja'' (low jungle).
