''Magellano'' is the third studio album by Italian singer-songwriter Francesco Gabbani. It was released in Italy through BMG Rights Management on 28 April 2017, and was released worldwide on 12 May 2017 under the title ''Magellan''. The album debuted at number 1 on the Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana, Italian Albums Chart. It includes the single "Occidentali's Karma", with which he represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, finishing in 6th place. Background In April 2017, Gabbani announced on Facebook that he would be releasing his third studio album, ''Magellano'', on 28 April 2017 and the album would include his Eurovision song "Occidentali's Karma". To promote the album, Gabbani embarked on a tour, and held several shows across Italy from 19 June to 9 September 2017. Francesco Gabbani (born 9 September 1982) is an Italian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He rose to fame after winning the newcomers' section of the Sanremo Music Festival 2016 with the song " Amen". The next year, he went on to win the main section of the Sanremo Music Festival 2017 with the song "Occidentali's Karma", and represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 finishing in 6th place. The International Exhibition Centre ( uk, Міжнародний виставковий центр) in Kyiv is the largest exhibition centre in Ukraine. Located in the western portion of Livoberezhna microdistrict, the center was opened in October 2002, and the head of the center since its construction was Anatoly Tkachenko. The Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was held at the Centre. History The idea of building the complex was from Viktor Tkachenko, then director of the Palace of Sports. Current director of the center, Ukrainian architect Yanush Wig designed the complex, and Eduard Safronov was the head of its construction. Michele "Miki" Del Prete (born 23 July 1935) is an Italian lyricist and record producer. Born in Bari, at young age he moved to Milan with his family, following the transfer of his father, a footballer, from A.S. Bari to Calcio Como. In the 1950s Del Prete started his career as a professional dancer. In 1959, he became a close friend and a collaborator of Adriano Celentano.
