Mafia (Black Label Society Album)
''Mafia'' is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Black Label Society, released on March 8, 2005, by Artemis Records. It is one of the band's most commercially successful releases, selling over 250,000 copies in the United States. The track "In This River" was written before the death of Zakk Wylde's friend and fellow guitarist Dimebag Darrell, but it has since been dedicated to him. In 2005, the album was ranked number 15 on ''Billboard'' Album Chart. Track listing The track "Fire It Up" was featured in the 2005 video game ''Guitar Hero''. Black Label Society
Black Label Society is an American heavy metal/southern metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1998 by guitarist/singer Zakk Wylde. To date, the band has released eleven studio albums, two live albums, two compilation albums, one EP, and three video albums. History ''Sonic Brew'' and formation (1998–1999) In the early 1990s, Wylde had formed his own solo band Pride & Glory, playing a mixture of bluesy Southern rock with heavy metal. However, they disbanded in December 1994 after having released only one album. Wylde subsequently recorded an acoustic solo album, '' Book of Shadows'' (1996). In May 1998, after limited commercial success with ''Book of Shadows'', Wylde and drummer Phil Ondich recorded what became Black Label Society's debut album ''Sonic Brew''. ''Guitar Hero'' is a 2005 rhythm game developed by Harmonix and published by RedOctane for the PlayStation 2. It is the first installment in the ''Guitar Hero'' series. ''Guitar Hero'' was released in November 2005 in North America, April 2006 in Europe and June 2006 in Australia. The game's development was a result of collaboration between RedOctane and Harmonix to bring a '' Guitar Freaks''-like game to United States. The game features a guitar-shaped controller (resembling a miniature Gibson SG) that the player uses to simulate playing rock music. Craig Nunenmacher
Craig Nunenmacher is an American musician, best known as the former drummer for heavy metal bands Black Label Society and Crowbar. He joined BLS in July 2000 while playing for Crowbar, who were touring with BLS at the time. The original BLS drummer, Phil Ondich, left the band mid-tour and, to keep the tour on the road, Nunenmacher filled in for Ondich, playing for both Crowbar and BLS for the rest of the tour. A few weeks into the tour, he was asked to join the band permanently. In 2003, during a short break from Black Label Society (as front-man Zakk Wylde was focusing on a full-time tour with Ozzy Osbourne), Nunenmacher reunited with Kirk Windstein and wrote and recorded Crowbar's '' Lifesblood for the Downtrodden'' album, which had Pantera's Rex Brown on bass guitar, and a guest performance on the track "Lifesblood" by former BLS bass guitarist Steve Gibb on guitar.
