Maeve Press is an American actress, writer, and comedian. She is best known for her role as Genevieve in the Freeform comedy series Everything's Gonna Be Okay. Early life Press was born and raised in New York. Her mother and father both work as filmmakers. Career Press began professional stand-up at the age of 12. She has since performed at numerous comedy festivals. She was cast in a 2015 New York City production of '' Before Your Very Eyes.'' In 2024, she made her premiere at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the solo show ''Failure Confetti''. ''Everything's Gonna Be Okay'' is an American comedy television series created by Australian comedian Josh Thomas. Thomas previously created, wrote, directed and starred in the semi-autobiographical award-winning series ''Please Like Me''. ''Everything's Gonna Be Okay'' premiered on Freeform on January 16, 2020. Darren Press is an American film director and film producer from New York. He attended Boston University and California Western School of Law in San Diego. When he returned to New York City after law school, he studied and performed with the improv troupe Satire on Broadway and met his wife, writer/director/actress C. Fraser Press, who was also performing with the troupe. Press later became the managing director and Director for Gotham City Improv a former affiliate of The Groundlings and then became the managing director of the Melting Pot Theatre Company.
