Mads Mathias
Juul Johansson better known as Mads Mathias is a Danish singer, saxophonist and songwriter. He has formed his own Mads Mathias Orchestra releasing his album ''Free Falling'' in 2012 winning "Best New Danish Jazz Artist of the Year". Career Johansson grew up partly in his native town of Silkeborg, Denmark and partly in Tanzania. He grew in a musical home exploring music since his infancy picking the saxophone as his main instrument at age 11. In an unfortunate car accident, Mads' right hand was injured at age 17 and he lost his index finger and half of two other fingers. Afraid that his days of playing the saxophone was over, he started singing and writing songs instead. Fortunately the rehabilitation of his hand made him able to play the saxophone again and at age 20 he was admitted to the Rhythmic Music Conservatory, where he received a diploma in 2007. Saxophone
The saxophone (often referred to colloquially as the sax) is a type of Single-reed instrument, single-reed woodwind instrument with a conical body, usually made of brass. As with all single-reed instruments, sound is produced when a reed (mouthpiece), reed on a Mouthpiece (woodwind), mouthpiece vibrates to produce a sound wave inside the instrument's body. DR P1
DR P1 – in Denmark normally referred to as simply P1 – is a Danish radio station operated by the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. P1 has evolved into a pure voice channel with a focus on news, documentaries, political debates, education, general cultural, scientific and social programming. Since 1 November 2011 P1 has had to share its nationwide FM channel frequencies with P2 since DR lost the rights to continue the use of the fourth nationwide FM channel which P2 had been using. DR P4
DR P4 is the regional radio channel of Denmark's national public broadcasting corporation, DR. The 10 regional stations which make up P4 originate their own local programming and also carry jointly produced nationwide content. P4's programming is a mixture of popular music, traffic announcements, national and regional news. History The name "P4" originates from 1973 when it was the name of a radio programme directed towards younger audience and broadcast on Sunday evenings on DR P1. This programme had been broadcast for 24 years when it was closed in 1997. On 4 April 1960 DR started regional programming on DR P2. Jens Fink-Jensen
Jens Fink-Jensen (born 19 December 1956) is a Danish poet, author, photographer, composer and architect. Biography Fink-Jensen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. From 1968 to 1972 he attended school in Store Heddinge where he was a classmate with the Danish poet Søren Ulrik Thomsen. Fink-Jensen debuted as a writer at the age of 18 when his short story, ''Juni 1995 (June 1995)'', was published in the daily newspaper ''Information''. The following year, four of his poems were published in the Danish literary magazine ''Hvedekorn''. Fink-Jensen graduated in modern languages from Herlufsholm Boarding School in 1976 and subsequently performed his national service with the Royal Life Guard where he trained as an NCO.
