Madrid Arena
Madrid Arena is an indoor arena located in the city of Madrid, in the fairgrounds in the Casa de Campo, just minutes from the city centre. Built from the old Climbing wall, Rocódromo, the pavilion was designed by Spanish architects Estudio Cano Lasso who designed this versatile building in 2001 to host sporting events, commercial, cultural and leisure activities. The pavilion was sponsored by the company Telefónica for what was also known as ''Telefónica Arena''. Construction The arena was built in 2002 as part of the facilities planned for the Madrid 2012 Olympic bid. It was expected to house basketball competitions. The first phase was about in 2002, expanded the following year. It is distributed on three floors (access, intermediate and low). Line 10 (Madrid Metro)
Line 10 of the Madrid Metro is a rapid transit line in Madrid that is actually the product of two formerly separate lines. Today the route begins at (San Sebastián de los Reyes) and ends at (Alcorcón). Passengers must transfer at between the "line 10A" segment, which covers the portion of the route south of the station, and "line 10B," which extends north to Hospital Infanta Sofía. Line 6 () of the Madrid Metro opened originally between Cuatro Caminos and Pacifico in 1979. This is one of two circular lines in Madrid, but unlike Line 12, it did not open as a full circle. The circle was completed in 1995, taking four stages from its original opening. It has a length of and is coloured grey on route maps. The line is made up of 28 stations with 115-metre platforms, linked by 23.472 km of wide gauge tunnel tracks. The 2013 World Men's Handball Championship was the 23rd World Men's Handball Championship, an international handball tournament that took place in Spain from 11 to 27 January 2013. This was the first time Spain hosted the World Men's Handball Championship, becoming the twelfth country to host the competition. Spain won the title, beating Denmark in the final 35–19. It was Denmark's second final in a row. Crowd collapses and crowd crushes are catastrophic incidents that can occur when a body of people becomes dangerously overcrowded. When numbers are up to about five people per square meter, the environment may feel cramped but manageable; when numbers reach between eight and ten people per square meter, individuals become pressed against each other and may be swept along against their will by the motion of the crowd. Under these conditions, the crowd may undergo a progressive collapse where the pressure pushes people off their feet, resulting in people being trampled or crushed by the weight of other people falling on top of them. Caja Mágica (; ), also known as the Manzanares Park Tennis Center, is a multi-purpose stadium located in Madrid, Spain. Since 2009, it has been the home of the Madrid Open tennis tournament. There are three courts under the one structure, and a series of retractable roofs.
