Madison Cowan is a British-born American celebrity chef, and consulting chef. He was the first Grand Champion of Food Network's '' Chopped''. He co-stars in BBC America’s travel series '' No Kitchen Required'', appeared as a judge on Food Network’s '' Extreme Chef'' and in cooking segments on NBC’s ''Today Show'' and ''CBS This Morning''. Cowan resides in New York City. Early life Madison Cowan was born in Brixton, South London, his father is from Jamaica and his mother is an African-American. He started cooking at age 14. His father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, which ran in their family, and was a catalyst for his own advocacy work for the disease. The Michelin Guides ( ) are a series of guide books that have been published by the French tyre company Michelin since 1900. Jose Garces is an Ecuadorian American chef, restaurant owner, and Iron Chef. He was born in Chicago to Ecuadorian parents. He won in the second season of '' The Next Iron Chef''. A sous-chef is a chef who is second in command in a kitchen; the person ranking next after the head chef, usually the more hands on manager with regards to training staff and organising the kitchen. Duties and functions The sous-chef has many responsibilities, because the executive chef has a more overarching role. Amanda Freitag (born May 11, 1972) is an American celebrity chef, and cookbook author. She is known for her frequent guest on Food Network television programs and work as a judge on the television cooking competitions. She is based in New York City. ''Iron Chef America'' is an American cooking show based on Fuji Television's ''Iron Chef'', and is the second American adaptation of the series, following the failed ''Iron Chef USA'' that aired in 2001. Patrick Dean Clark (March 17, 1955 – February 11, 1998) was an American chef. He won the 1994 James Beard Foundation award for "Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic Region" during his tenure at the Hay-Adams Hotel, Washington, D.C. and also competed in the 1997 Iron Chef.
