Madilyn Mei
Madilyn Mei is an American indie-folk and indie-pop singer-songwriter from San Tan Valley, Arizona, whose whimsical, fantasy-themed music first gained traction on TikTok and YouTube in the early 2020s. Early life and education Born and raised in Queen Creek, AZ, just outside Phoenix, Madilyn Mei went to high school at Heritage Academy Gateway. Mei began writing songs in fifth grade and played coffee-shop gigs by seventh grade while growing up in the Phoenix area. Before pursuing music full-time, she worked retail and built an online audience of more than 160k followers across platforms. Indie folk (also called alternative folk) is an alternative genre of music that arose in the 1990s among musicians from indie rock scenes influenced by folk music. Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with a DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. San Tan Valley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in northern Pinal County, Arizona, United States. The population was 99,894 at the 2020 census, it is the largest unincorporated community in Pinal County. History San Tan Valley derives its name from the nearby San Tan Mountains. Addison Grace (born March 21, 2001) is an American singer-songwriter and online personality. Having developed a following on social media sites like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, he has released two EPs, ''Immaturing'' and ''Things That Are Bad for Me'' (both 2022), and toured with artists including Cavetown, Tessa Violet, Penelope Scott, and Chloe Moriondo.
