was a British e-commerce company based in London that designed and sold furniture and home accessories online. The company was founded in 2010 by serial entrepreneur Ning Li and Brent Hoberman, together with Julien Callède and Chloe Macintosh. It had offices and warehouses across Europe and Asia and operated in seven European markets including the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Switzerland and Spain. In May 2022, it acquired the online homeware marketplace Trouva. Brent Hoberman
Brent Shawzin Hoberman (born 25 November 1968) is a British entrepreneur and investor. During the dot-com boom, he co-founded lastminute.com with Martha Lane Fox in 1998, where he was CEO from its inception, before selling the business to Sabre Corporation, Sabre in 2005 for $1.1bn. Hoberman's other business involvements include Made.com, which he co-founded in 2010. Hoberman left his role as Chair shortly before the company went public with a valuation of $1bn, voicing that he was not in favour of the IPO. The company was a 'Financial market impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, pandemic star' but fell into administration in late 2022. Brent is also co-founder of the startup accelerator Founders Factory, tech community Founders Forum, and $270m seed fund firstminute capital. DP World London Gateway is a port within the wider Port of London, on the north bank of the River Thames in Thurrock, Essex. Opened in November 2013, the site is a fully integrated logistics facility, consisting of a semi-automated deep-sea container terminal which is on the same site as a land bank for the development of warehousing, distribution facilities, and ancillary logistics services. The facility is located 30 miles (48 km) east of central London. The deep-water port is able to handle some of the largest container ships in the world.
