Maddy Siegrist (cropped)
Madison Siegrist (born May 22, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats of the Big East Conference and is the Big East's all-time leading scorer in women's basketball. She was selected 3rd overall in the 2023 WNBA draft by the Wings. Early life Siegrist played basketball for Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, New York. As a junior, she was named ''Poughkeepsie Journal'' Player of the Year after averaging 21 points, 12 rebounds and four assists per game and leading her team to the Section 1 Class AA semifinals. In her senior season, Siegrist averaged 32.7 points and 13.1 rebounds per game and repeated as ''Poughkeepsie Journal'' Player of the Year. She committed to playing college basketball for Villanova. The Dallas Wings are an American professional basketball team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Wings compete in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) as a member of the Western Conference. The team is owned by a group led by chairman Bill Cameron. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university.
