Madagali
Madagali or Madagli is a town and local government area in Adamawa State, Nigeria, adjacent to the border with Cameroon. History The LGA was created in 1991 when Taraba State was created out of Gongola State. It borders Michika to the south, Askira uba to the west, Gwoza local government area to the north and the Republic of Cameroon to the east. Ethnic Groups The major ethnic tribe in Madagali is the Marghi. Other ethnic tribes of Madagali are Mafa, Sukur, Higgi and Fulani. Villages The major villages in Madagali are Gulak and Shuwa. Madagali is richly blessed with fertile land which makes the people to heavily engage in Agricultural activities. Boko Haram, officially known as ''Jamā'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihād'' ( ar, جماعة أهل السنة للدعوة والجهاد, lit=Group of the People of Sunnah for Dawah and Jihad), is an Islamic terrorist organization based in northeastern Nigeria, which is also active in Chad, Niger, and northern Cameroon. In 2016, the group split, resulting in the emergence of a hostile faction known as the Islamic State's West Africa Province. Founded by Mohammed Yusuf in 2002, the group was led by Abubakar Shekau from 2009 until his death in 2021, although it splintered into other groups after Yusuf's death and also in 2015. Adamawa State
Adamawa state () is a state in the North-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria, bordered by Borno to the northwest, Gombe to the west, and Taraba to the southwest, while its eastern border forms part of the national border with Cameroon. It takes its name from the historic emirate of Adamawa, with the emirate's old capital of Yola, serving as the capital city of Adamawa state. The Cameroon–Nigeria border is 1,975 km (1,227 mi) in length and runs from the tripoint with Chad in the north to the Atlantic Ocean in the south. Description The border starts in the north at the tripoint with Chad in Lake Chad, proceeding through the lake via a NW-SE straight line down to the estuary of the Ebedi river. The border follows this river as it flows to the south-east, before turning south, proceeding overland in this direction via a series of irregular lines and some small rivers (such as the Kalia). Michika
Michika (Mwe-cika) is a town and Local Government Area in Adamawa State, Nigeria, it is the administrative headquarters of the local government. It is in Northern Adamawa State and located directly across the border from the famous tourist site of Mcedigyi in vecemwe Rhumsiki in Cameroon. Mwe-cika (Michika) is the fourth largest town in Adamawa State. Nigeria is a federation of 36 states and 1 federal capital territory.
