Mackenzie Jones
Mackenzie William Jones (born 6 June 2005) is a Scottish cricketer who currently plays for Essex County Cricket Club. He plays as a right-arm fast bowler and also bats right-handed. He made his international debut for Scotland in 2025. Domestic career In April 2025, Jones signed his first rookie contract with Essex County Cricket Club. He made his first-class debut for Essex against Hampshire in 2025 County Championship on 22 June 2025. International career In May 2025, Jones received a first senior international call-up to Scotland's ODI squad for the 2025 Scotland Tri-Nation Series which was part of the 2024–2026 Cricket World Cup League 2. He made his One Day International debut against Nepal on 8 June 2025, in ICC Cricket World Cup League 2. The 2024–2026 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 is the second edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2, a cricket tournament which forms part of the 2027 Cricket World Cup qualification process. As a result of the scrapping of Super League, this cycle of League 2 saw an increase from 7 to 8 teams. The rise in team count led to an increase in the total number of fixtures from 126 to 144. The 2025 Scotland Tri-Nation Series was the thirteenth round of the 2024–2026 Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament that took place in Scotland in June 2025. It was a tri-nation series contested by the men's national teams of the Netherlands, Nepal and Scotland. The matches were played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures. After the League 2 series, the participating teams also played a tri-nation Twenty20 International (T20I) series.
