Machhindra FC (formally known as Machhindra Bahal Club) is a Nepali professional football club from the central Kathmandu, neighborhood of Keltole, playing in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League. History Machhindra FC was established in 1973. For sponsorship reasons, it was named ''Machhindra Bahal Club'' in 2004, and ''Machhindra Energizer FC'' in 2006. The club was promoted to Nepal's top football division in 2004. The team was one of the first teams in Nepal to appoint a foreign coach, Johan Kalin, in 2013, claiming that he was the highest qualified coach in Nepalese football history. He led the team to finish second in the league, for which he was praised for his tactics. The beginning of the 2020s started the clubs most successful time with two consecutive league championships. Dasarath Rangasala Stadium
Dasharath Rangasala ( ne, दशरथ रंगशाला; ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. It is named after Dasharath Chand, one of the four great martyrs of Nepal. The stadium is used mostly for football matches and cultural programmes. It has floodlights installed, to facilitate matches and events in the evenings. Most of Nepal's national and international tournaments are held in this stadium. Nepal's primary football division, Martyr's Memorial League, is also held on this ground every year. The stadium has also been the only host of the inaugural 2021 Nepal Super League season. History The stadium was built in 1956. It was renovated in 1998 to host the 1999 South Asian Games. Sujal Shrestha ( ne, सुजल श्रेष्ठ) (born 4 February 1993) is a former Nepalese footballer. He played for club Machhindra F.C. in Martyr's Memorial A-Division League as a midfielder. He was called to Nepal squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. On 23rd March 2023 Sujal Announced his Retirement from International Football. Club career Sujal Shrestha is a Nepalese striker who was born in Dhankuta. After graduating from ANFA Academy in 2006 he joined the Sankata Boys Sports Club a year later, he then signed for the Manang Marshyangdi Club in 2008. Sunil Bal ( ne, सुनिल बलl; born 1 January 1998) is a Nepalese footballer who plays as a midfielder for Martyr's Memorial A-Division League club Machhindra F.C. and the Nepal national team.
