Macau Light Transit System
The Macau Light Rapid Transit (MLRT, zh, 澳門輕軌系統; , MLM) is a mass transit system in Macau and the first railway system of the city. The first phase of the project's construction began in February 2012, and the first section of the Taipa line was opened to the public on 10 December 2019. The Barra extension of the Taipa line opened in 2023, with the Seac Pai Van line, Seac Pai Van and Hengqin line, Hengqin lines opened in 2024. MTR (Macau), a wholly-owned subsidiary of MTR Corporation, MTR, operated and maintaining the MLM under the operations and maintenance assistance services (O&M Contract) until it expired in December 2024. Macau International Airport
Macau International Airport is an international airport in the special administrative region of Macau, situated at the eastern end of Taipa island and neighbouring waters. It opened for commercial operations on 9 November 1995, during Portuguese administration of the region. Since its opening, the airport has been a common transfer point for people traveling between mainland China and Taiwan, as well as a passenger hub for destinations in mainland China and Southeast Asia. Nam Van Lake
The Nam Van Lake (; ) is a man-made lake in Sé, Macau. It is one of two man made lakes in Macau. It is located at the southern end of Macau Peninsula. The lake was once part of a bay ( Praia Grande Bay), created when the causeway (Avenida Dr Sun Yat Sen) partially closed off the bay. The project to close the lake began in 1991 to attract more development in Macau. Nam Van means ''South Bay'' in Chinese. Much of the land southwest of the bay was created from landfill. Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is a viral respiratory disease of zoonotic origin caused by the virus SARS-CoV-1, the first identified strain of the SARS-related coronavirus. Ao Man Long (; born in December 1956) was the first Secretary for Transport and Public Works of the Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, from 20 December 1999 to 6 December 2006. On 8 December 2006, Ao was arrested based on a case built by the Macau Commission Against Corruption, making him the highest-ranking official arrested in the history of Macau. Ao had allegedly offered preference in government works projects, and had amassed assets totalling 804 million patacas. On 30 January 2008, Ao was found guilty on 40 counts of bribe-taking, amongst others, and was sentenced to 27 years in prison. Sai Van Bridge
The Sai Van Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge located in Macau. It was inaugurated on December 19, 2004. The bridge measures long and is the third one to cross the Praia Grande Bay connecting Taipa Island and Macau Peninsula on Hsiang-shan Island. It features a double-deck design, with an enclosed lower deck to be used in the event of strong typhoons when the other three bridges connecting Taipa and Macau Peninsula, both of which are single-deck, namely Ponte Governador Nobre de Carvalho and Ponte de Amizade, are closed. It is the world's first prestressed concrete double-deck main beam cable-stayed bridge and the world's largest-span double-deck concrete bridge. The Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal (; ), also known as the ''Macau Maritime Ferry Terminal'', ''Macau Ferry Terminal'' or ''Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Pier'' in Chinese (), is a ferry terminal located at Porto Exterior, Sé, Macau, China.
