Macarena Rodríguez
Ana Macarena Rodríguez Pérez (born 10 June 1978 in Mendoza, Argentina) is an Argentine field hockey player. She competed for the Argentina national field hockey team for the first time in counted matches during Sergio Vigil's coaching years, but returned to the team with Carlos Retegui in 2010, winning the 2010 World Cup and the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Macarena also won three Champions Trophy (2010, 2012 and 2014) and two Pan American Cups. Luciana Aymar
Luciana Paula Aymar (; born 10 August 1977) is an Argentine retired field hockey player. She is the only player in history to receive the FIH Player of the Year Award eight times, and she is considered as the best female hockey player of all time. In 2010 she was granted the Platinum Konex Award as the best Hockey player of the last decade in Argentina. Luciana is known for her ability to beat opposing players using her pace and dribbling skills, drawing comparisons with Argentinian footballer Diego Maradona. Carlos Retegui
Carlos José Retegui (born 19 December 1969) is an Argentine retired field hockey player, who is nicknamed ''Chapa''. He was a member of the National squad from 1989 to 2006 and competed in three Summer Olympics (1996, 2000 and 2004). In 2006 he was dismissed from the national team by his former teammate and head coach, Sergio Vigil. Between 2008 and 2009 he coached the Argentina men's national field hockey team. In 2009 he succeeded Gabriel Minadeo as coach of the Argentina women's national field hockey team until 2012 when his contract was not renewed. Sergio Vigil
Sergio Vigil (born 11 August 1965 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine former field hockey player, who later became a coach in his sport. In 1997 he was appointed as the head coach of the Argentine Women's Team, that won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney under his guidance. Besides that, Vigil coached Las Leonas to gold medals at the 2002 Women's Hockey World Cup, 2001 Champions Trophy and at the 1999 Pan American Games. Field hockey is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with ten outfield players and a goalkeeper. Teams must drive a round hockey ball by hitting it with a hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal. The match is won by the team that scores the most goals. Women's Pan American Cup
The Women's Pan American Cup is a women's international field hockey tournament organized by the Pan American Hockey Federation. The winning team becomes the champion of the Americas and qualifies for the FIH Hockey World Cup. Argentina are the defending champions, winning the 2022 edition.
