Murder Of Alesha MacPhail
On 2 July 2018, six-year-old Scottish girl Alesha Sarah MacPhail was child abduction, abducted from her bed and murdered by 16-year-old Aaron Thomas Campbell. Alesha, from Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, was three days into a stay with her grandparents on the Isle of Bute when Campbell entered their unlocked home at approximately 2am. The teenager had previously bought Cannabis (drug), cannabis from Alesha's father Robert "Bobby" McPhail, who lived in the house, and initially went to steal the drug. Upon finding the child asleep, Campbell picked her up, carried her to the grounds of a demolished hotel, then child rape, raped and killed her by applying pressure to her face and neck. Alesha was reported missing at 06:23 ; her body was discovered by a member of the public at 08:54 . Police Scotland charged Campbell with abduction, rape and murder on 5 July 2018. Andy MacPhail
Andrew Bowen MacPhail (born April 5, 1953) is an American baseball executive. He has previously served as general manager for the Minnesota Twins and Chicago Cubs, and as president for the Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies. MacPhail is the son of Lee MacPhail and the grandson of Larry MacPhail, both of whom were inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame for their careers as executives in MLB. Career MacPhail began his career as a baseball executive with the Chicago Cubs' Rookie-level Minor League Baseball affiliate in 1976. Larry McPhail (born August 27, 1968) is a retired American soccer forward who played one season each in the American Professional Soccer League and SISL. McPhail was a member of the United States U-17 men's national soccer team at the 1985 FIFA U-16 World Championship. He played all three games as the U.S. went 1-2-0 in group play. George Wilson McPhail (December 26, 1815 – June 28, 1871) was an American Presbyterian minister and educator who served as the sixth president of Lafayette College, a director at Princeton Theological Seminary, and the fifth president of Davidson College. Michael McPhail (born December 15, 1981) is an American rifle shooter. He won a gold medal in the 50 metre rifle prone event at the 2011 Pan American Games. He competed in the 50 metre rifle prone event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he placed 9th. In the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, he placed 19th.
