Ma Fleur
''Ma Fleur'' ("my flower" in French) is the fourth full-length release and third proper studio album by The Cinematic Orchestra, released on 7 May 2007. The North American version of the album contains 10 tracks in a different sequence from the UK version and omits "Child Song". The song " To Build a Home" was used in an award-winning 2008 Schweppes Lemonade advertisement called "Burst" and in the 2010 Australian-French film The Tree, and the similar shorter song "That Home" in the trailer for 2011 film '' Another Earth''. The Cinematic Orchestra
The Cinematic Orchestra is a British nu jazz and downtempo music group created in 1999 by Jason Swinscoe and later involving his music collaborator Dominic Smith. The group is signed to independent record label Ninja Tune. The Cinematic Orchestra have produced four studio albums, ''Motion (The Cinematic Orchestra album), Motion'' (1999), ''Every Day (album), Every Day'' (2002), ''Ma Fleur'' (2007) and ''To Believe'' (2019), and two film soundtrack albums, ''Man with a Movie Camera (The Cinematic Orchestra album), Man with a Movie Camera'' (2003) and ''The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos'' (2009). Lou Rhodes
Lou Rhodes is an English singer and songwriter from Manchester, now living in Wiltshire. In addition to providing vocals and lyrics for the band Lamb, Rhodes has released four solo albums: '' Beloved One'', '' Bloom'' and '' One Good Thing'' and ''theyesandeye''. Rhodes has collaborated with 808 State, A Guy Called Gerald, Funkstörung, Pale 3, Sugizo, Plump DJs, Sheila Chandra, Eliza Carthy, Art of Noise, and The Cinematic Orchestra on '' Ma Fleur'' and the soundtrack to '' The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos''. Fontella Bass
Fontella Marie Bass (; July 3, 1940 – December 26, 2012) was an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter best known for her number-one R&B hit " Rescue Me" in 1965. She was nominated for a Grammy Award twice. Early life Fontella Bass was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of gospel singer Martha Bass, who was a member of the Clara Ward Singers, and the older sister of R&B singer David Peaston. At an early age, Fontella showed great musical talent. At the age of five, she provided the piano accompaniment for her grandmother's singing at funeral services, she sang in her church's choir at six, and by the time she was nine, she had accompanied her mother on tours throughout the South and Southwest America. Patrick Watson (born October 8, 1979) is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Montreal, Quebec, who has formed a band also named Patrick Watson, whose blend of cabaret pop and classical music influences with indie rock has been compared to Rufus Wainwright, Andrew Bird, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley and Pink Floyd for its experimental musicianship. ''Another Earth'' is a 2011 American science fiction drama film directed by Mike Cahill and starring Brit Marling, William Mapother, and Robin Lord Taylor. The Tree (2010 Film)
''The Tree'' is a French-Australian 2010 film co-produced between Australia and France. It was filmed in the small town of Boonah in Queensland, Australia, and follows the lives of Dawn (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and her four children after the unexpected death of her husband Peter (Aden Young). The film is an adaptation of the 2002 debut novel '' Our Father Who Art in the Tree'' by Australian writer and performer Judy Pascoe.
