''M'' is a 2018 French documentary film directed by Yolande Zauberman. It follows ''Menachem Lang'', aged 35, as he returns to Bnei Brak to confront the men who abused him as a child, to discuss child abuse with other members of the ultra-Orthodox community and to attempt to reconcile with his parents. In 2020 it received the César Award for César Award for Best Documentary Film, Best Documentary Film. Yolande Zauberman () is a French film director and screenwriter. Career She made her debut in cinema working alongside Amos Gitai. In 1987 she directed her first documentary ''Classified People'', dealing with apartheid in South Africa, which won the Paris Film Festival Grand Prize. Her second documentary, ''Criminal Caste'' (1989), was shot in India, and selected at the Cannes Film Festival. Three years later, she directed her first feature film, '' Me Ivan, You Abraham'', winning the Youth Award at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival, and the Golden St. George at the 18th Moscow International Film Festival. Then followed her two films ''Clubbed to Death'' (1996) and ''The War in Paris'' (2001) starring Elodie Bouchez, which were both distributed throughout the world. Charles Gillibert (born 14 September 1977) is a French film producer. Since 2021, he has served as the president of Les Films du Losange. Life and career Gillibert was born in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune. His parents were Michel Gillibert and Françoise Barquin; he is the brother of the actress Violaine Gillibert and Emmanuel Gillibert, the head of Eggs publicity agency. In 1995 Gillibert and Nathanaël Karmitz founded the film production company NADA as well as the Kieslowski Award, producing around a hundred short films, art videos and documentaries, many of which were awarded in most of international film festivals.
