Malaysia Vision Valley
The Malaysia Vision Valley (MVV; Malay language, Malay: ) is a development corridor that encompasses the districts of Seremban District, Seremban and Port Dickson District, Port Dickson in the state of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The corridor was initially established on 21 May 2015, and it forms the southern continuation of the Greater Kuala Lumpur area. Background The state of Negeri Sembilan has a very close proximity to the heavily developed Klang Valley area and is very well connected via major arteries. Driven by the increase of commuters from the state commuting daily to work, including topographic factors - where the corridor between Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan is relatively flatter compared to the north - the urban sprawl of the Klang Valley has been seen to push southwards over the years, causing new developments to spur up in bordering districts, especially Seremban District, Seremban and Port Dickson District, Port Dickson - both are also part of the National Co ... Parts-per Notation
In science and engineering, the parts-per notation is a set of pseudo-units to describe the small values of miscellaneous dimensionless quantities, e.g. mole fraction or mass fraction. Since these fractions are quantity-per-quantity measures, they are pure numbers with no associated units of measurement. Commonly used are * parts-per-million - ppm, * parts-per-billion - ppb, * parts-per-trillion - ppt, * parts-per-quadrillion - ppq, This notation is not part of the International System of Units - SI system and its meaning is ambiguous. Applications Parts-per notation is often used describing dilute solutions in chemistry, for instance, the relative abundance of dissolved minerals or pollutants in water. The quantity "1 ppm" can be used for a mass fraction if a water-borne pollutant is present at one-millionth of a gram per gram of sample solution. When working with aqueous solutions, it is common to assume that the density of water is 1.00 g/mL. Th ... M V Star
A red dwarf is the smallest kind of star on the main sequence. Red dwarfs are by far the most common type of Fusor (astronomy), fusing star in the Milky Way, at least in the neighborhood of the Sun. However, due to their low luminosity, individual red dwarfs are not easily observed. Not one star that fits the stricter definitions of a red dwarf is visible to the naked eye. Proxima Centauri, the star nearest to the Sun, is a red dwarf, as are fifty of the List of nearest stars, sixty nearest stars. According to some estimates, red dwarfs make up three-quarters of the fusing stars in the Milky Way. The coolest red dwarfs near the Sun have a surface temperature of about and the smallest have radii about 9% solar radius, that of the Sun, with masses about 7.5% solar mass, that of the Sun. These red dwarfs have Stellar classification#Spectral types, spectral types of L0 to L2. There is some overlap with the properties of brown dwarfs, since the most massive brown dwarfs at lower met ... Megève Aerodrome
Megève (; ) is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France with a population of more than 3,000 residents. The town is well known as a ski resort near Mont Blanc in the French Alps. Conceived in the 1920s as a French alternative to St. Moritz by the Rothschilds, it was the first purpose-built resort in the Alps. Originally it was a prime destination for the French aristocracy; it remains one of the most famous and affluent ski resorts in the world. History The town started its development as a ski resort in the 1910s, when the Rothschild family began spending their winter vacations there after becoming disenchanted with the Swiss resort St. Moritz. In 1921, Baroness Noémie de Rothschild (1888–1968) opened the Domaine du Mont d'Arbois, a luxury hotel which boosted the resort's development. By the 1950s Megève was one of the most popular ski resorts in Europe and attracted many wealthy individuals and celebrities. N ... Maedi-visna Virus
Visna-maedi virus (also known as Visna virus, Maedi-visna virus and Ovine lentivirus) from the genus '' Lentivirus'' and subfamily '' Orthoretrovirinae'', is a retrovirus that causes encephalitis and chronic pneumonitis in sheep. It is known as visna when found in the brain, and maedi when infecting the lungs. Lifelong, persistent infections in sheep occur in the lungs, lymph nodes, spleen, joints, central nervous system, and mammary glands; The condition is sometimes known as ovine progressive pneumonia (OPP), particularly in the United States, or Montana sheep disease. White blood cells of the monocyte/macrophage lineage are the main target of the virus. Viral infection First described in 1954 by Bjorn Sigurdsson in Iceland, Maedi-visna virus was the first lentivirus to be isolated and characterized, accomplished in 1957 by Sigurdsson. ''Maedi'' ( Icelandic ' ' dyspnoea') and ''visna'' (Icelandic ' 'wasting' or 'shrinking' of the spinal cord) refer to endemic sheep herd condi ...
