MTV Plus
MTV Plus was a Greek free-to-air television channel, owned by Viacom. It was also distributed in Italy from 17 May 2010 until 1 March 2011, when it was replaced by MTV Music. On 1 November 2018 Nicknight Germany was replaced by the German relaunch of MTV Plus named “MTV+“, but later replaced by Comedy Central +1 on 1 March 2021. History The channel was launched in Greece on 18 October 2009. Its inauguration party was held in "Vogue" Club in Thessaloniki on 17 December 2009, with the guest appearance of British dance band Freemasons and some Greek bands such as C Real and Stavento. MTV+ was available on DTT in Thessaloniki, northern Greece. Its programming was similar to its sister channel MTV Greece. MTV+ used MTV's then global branding. 576i is a standard-definition digital video mode, originally used for digitizing analog television in most countries of the world where the utility frequency for electric power distribution is 50 Hz. Nickelodeon (Greece)
Nickelodeon is a Greek free-to-air television channel that was launched on 3 September 2010. It was available free-to-air in the Athens area on 35 analog UHF signal broadcast from Hymettus, before the analog switch off on 20 July 2012, but it is available through the ''Digea'' DVB-T digital consortium, on 54 UHF signal broadcast from Aegina, Hymettus and Parnitha. It also broadcasts in Thessaloniki and its surrounding areas through Nickelodeon Plus, a version of the channel for the Northern Greece area.English Nickelodeon HD started officially broadcasting on 17 October 2011 via Cosmote TV. MTV (Originally an initialism of Music Television) is an American cable channel that launched on August 1, 1981. Based in New York City, it serves as the flagship property of the MTV Entertainment Group, part of Paramount Media Networks, a division of Paramount Global. It is distributed in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland and broadcasts many American and British imported television series as well as original programming. It launched on 15 January 2007 replacing former music channel Viva (TV station), VIVA Plus. Nick is a German free-to-air television channel for children, part of the international Nickelodeon brand. Originally launched in 1995, and relaunched in 2005, Nickelodeon is based in Berlin. The channel is available on subscription services and as an unscrambled, free-to-air (FTA) satellite signal. On 31 March 2010, the channel re-adopted the name ''Nickelodeon'' on air and online, in addition to the new Nickelodeon logo and graphical package being rolled out internationally at the time.
