MTV Music (Poland)
MTV Music (formerly VIVA) was a Polish 24h music and entertainment channel from Viacom International Media Networks Polska. The channel was launched on 10 June 2000 by the German VIVA Media AG. History The first music video played on the channel was " A wszystko to... (bo ciebie kocham)" by Ich Troje. On 1 December 2005, VIVA Poland relocated its broadcast center from Cologne to London and began broadcasting on transponder 11075 V, which at the time was owned by MTV Networks Europe on Hot Bird 13°E. This move resulted in VIVA Poland taking the place of MTV Nederland on Hot Bird 13°E, while MTV Nederland shifted to the Astra 19.2°E satellite. On 22 June 2009, VIVA Poland underwent a visual rebranding, introducing a new dynamic logo that cycled through six colors every 20 seconds: blue, purple, sand, orange, green, and silver. MTV Nederland en België is a Dutch speaking free-to-cable television channel broadcasting in the Netherlands and Belgium. It launched as MTV NL on 12 September 2000. Before the start of country-specific channels, the Pan-European version of MTV aired in the Netherlands. The channel is broadcast from a Paramount Networks EMEAA office in Amsterdam, but it uses since 1 January 2022 a broadcast licence from Czech Republic in order not to have obligations under Netherlands medialaw. VH1 Poland was a Polish music pay television channel from ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA that was active from 1 December 2005 to 3 March 2020. First launched on 1 December 2005 to replace "MTV Classic", another Polish MTV channel which used to broadcast mainly classic videos, VH1 Poland shows almost only music-based programs and plays a much broader range of videos than its predecessor. Many themed music programs were broadcast on a daily or weekly basis.
