MTV Hits is a French music television channel from Paramount Networks EMEAA launched on 17 November 2015. History The channels MTV Base, MTV Pulse, MTV Idol merged on November 17, 2015, replaced by MTV Hits. At the same time, BET became a channel in its own, My MTV, an interactive music channel was created, MTV Rocks leaves CanalSat while on Numericable not to remove channels arrived MTV Dance, VH1 and VH1 Classic. In high-definition television (HDTV) and video display technology, 1080i is a video display format with 1080 lines of vertical resolution and Interlaced video, interlaced scanning method. This format was once a standard in HDTV. It was particularly used for broadcast television because it can deliver high-resolution images without needing excessive bandwidth. This format is used in the SMPTE 292M standard. Definition The number "1080" in 1080i refers to the number of horizontal lines that make up the vertical resolution of the display. MTV Rocks Europe was a European pay television music channel from Viacom International Media Networks Europe that was launched on 27 May 2014, replacing the British version of MTV Rocks in Europe. History On 17 November 2015, MTV Rocks Europe was removed from CanalSat. On 1 October 2017, the European versions of MTV Rocks, MTV Dance and MTV Hits ceased broadcasting in Benelux. MTV Base was a 24-hour French subscription music channel operated by Viacom International Media Networks Europe. History A first channel, MTV Base UK was launched on 1 July 1999.
