MTV (France)
MTV France is a French pay-television channel operated by Paramount Networks EMEAA. It was launched as MTV Networks Europe began to further localise its brand throughout Europe. MTV France (previously MTVF) was launched on 20 June 2000. It is also distributed in Switzerland (Romandie), Monaco and Francophone Africa. In high-definition television (HDTV) and video display technology, 1080i is a video display format with 1080 lines of vertical resolution and Interlaced video, interlaced scanning method. This format was once a standard in HDTV. It was particularly used for broadcast television because it can deliver high-resolution images without needing excessive bandwidth. This format is used in the SMPTE 292M standard. Definition The number "1080" in 1080i refers to the number of horizontal lines that make up the vertical resolution of the display. Each of these lines contributes to the overall detail and clarity of the image. The letter "i" stands for Interlaced video, interlaced. MTV Base (United Kingdom And Ireland)
MTV Base was a British pay television music channel from Paramount Networks UK & Australia that focused primarily on hip hop, R&B, grime, garage, reggae, funk, soul and dance music. It was launched as part of MTV's digital offering of music channels on July 1, 1999 in both the United Kingdom and in Ireland. MTV Base closed on 31 March 2022, and was replaced by MTV 90s. VH1 Europe
VH1 (referred as VH1 Europe) was a European music television channel owned by ViacomCBS Networks EMEAA. It played a wide variety of music programs on a daily or weekly basis, and various VH1 original series. The channel focused on current music, as well as music from the 2000s and the 2010s. In the 2000s, the channel used to focus on then current music – with a heavier focus on so-called adult contemporary pop and pop rock than today, – as well as music from the 1980s and the 1990s. From 2020 until the closure, the channel also played some Hip Hop hits, from artists like Roddy Ricch and DaBaby. On 2 August 2021, the channel was replaced by MTV 00s. MTV Hits is a pay television music video channel which carries current-day pop music videos ranging from 2010 until the present day. A pan-European network owned by Paramount Networks EMEAA, the network also has wide availability throughout Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. It ceased broadcasting in Benelux on 1 October 2017, but came back on 1 February 2021 by replacing MTV Brand New. MTV Rocks Europe was a European pay television music channel from Viacom International Media Networks Europe that was launched on 27 May 2014, replacing the British version of MTV Rocks in Europe. MTV Pulse was a musical pop/rock television channel owned by MTV Networks France, launched in November 2005 only for France, dedicated to young adult (15–35 years) audience. MTV Pulse broadcast pop and rock music videos (also metal, punk, soul, alternative rock, etc.), live performances, interviews and special programs entirely dedicated to this musical universe. The clips were broadcast in a more commercial format and from the currents of alternative music. From April 9, 2013, the channel was available in HD.
