MS Hanseatic
''Heritage Adventurer'' is an ice class, ice-strengthened expedition cruise ship built in 1991 by Rauma shipyard in Finland. She was originally named ''Society Adventurer'', but after Discoverer Reederei was unable to take delivery of the vessel due to financial troubles, the completed ship was laid up at the shipyard for almost two years. In 1993, she was acquired by Hanseatic Tours (which later merged with Hapag-Lloyd) and renamed ''Hanseatic''. In 2018, she was chartered to One Ocean Expeditions and renamed ''RCGS Resolute'' through a partnership with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. In 2021, she was acquired by Heritage Expeditions and, following an extensive refit, entered service in 2022 with her current name. Perseverance Harbour
Perseverance Harbour, also known as South harbour, is a large indentation in the coast of Campbell Island / Motu Ihupuku, one of New Zealand's subantarctic New Zealand Outlying Islands, outlying islands. The harbour is a long lateral fissure which reaches the ocean in the island's southeast, and is overlooked by the island's highest point, Mount Honey. The Campbell Island Meteorological Station lies at the western end of the harbour. Length between perpendiculars (often abbreviated as p/p, p.p., pp, LPP, LBP or Length BPP) is the length of a ship along the summer load line from the forward surface of the stem, or main bow perpendicular member, to the after surface of the sternpost, or main stern perpendicular member. When there is no sternpost, the centerline axis of the rudder stock is used as the aft end of the length between perpendiculars. Measuring to the stern post or rudder stock was believed to give a reasonable idea of the ship’s carrying capacity, as it excluded the small, often unusable volume contained in its overhanging ends. Length overall (LOA, o/a, o.a. or oa) is the maximum length of a vessel's hull measured parallel to the waterline. This length is important while docking the ship.
