Shendra MIDC
After 1960, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) began acquiring land and setting up industrial estates. Land was acquired near Shendra village on Aurangabad - Jalna highway in the 1990s. As part of its efforts, the MIDC developed the Waluj and Chikalthana Industrial Areas, which were soon snapped up. Hinjawadi (also incorrectly spelt Hinjewadi) is a suburb in Pune, India. It houses the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, a large tech and business park spread over 2,800 acres, which was built by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation.
