MICA (institute)
MICA, formerly Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, is a private business school located in Ahmedabad, India. MICA has a wide range of academic offerings including residential programmes for Post Graduate Management Studies and a Fellow Programme in Management (Communication) (residential, but off campus). History MICA was established in 1991 by A. G. Krishnamurthy of Mudra Communications, as an autonomous Postgraduate education, post graduate academic institute. The main academic block was inaugurated in 1993 and MICA relocated to its current campus at Shela. It was also the year in which its first Director Binod C. Agrawal began his tenure. Shailendra Raj Mehta
Shailendra Raj Mehta (born 9 July 1959) is an Indian academic administrator and entrepreneur. Since 2017, he has served as President and Director of MICA (institute) in Ahmedabad, where he is also a professor of innovation and entrepreneurship. His research interests include entrepreneurship, institution design, microeconomics, experimental economics, and strategic management. Mehta's previous roles in Indian higher education include Chairman of the Board of Management at AURO University and Provost (education), Provost and Vice-Chancellor of Ahmedabad University. He is a member of the Mission High-Level Committee (MHLC) of the Indian Knowledge System and serves as Vice-Chairman of the Governing Body of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS) in Shimla.
