Maine Intercollegiate Athletic Association
The Maine Intercollegiate Athletic Association, also known as the Maine Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, was an intercollegiate athletic football conference that existed from 1893 to 1973. The conference's four members were all located in the state of Maine. The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA; ) is a government-owned and controlled corporation and an agency under the Department of Transportation of the Philippines. It serves as the regulatory body for Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), formerly known as Manila International Airport—hence the agency's name. History The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) was created by virtue of Executive Order No. 778 signed on March 4, 1982 by President Ferdinand Marcos, originally as a body meant to administer and operate the Manila International Airport (MIA). Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association
The Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (M.I.A.A.) is a boys' sports conference for private high schools generally located in the Baltimore metropolitan area but extending to various other regions, including the state's mostly rural Eastern Shore. The M.I.A.A. has 27 member schools and offers competition in 17 sports. In most sports, it offers multiple levels of competition, including Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshmen-Sophomore teams, and the conference is broken down by separate leagues in each. In addition, members are sorted in accordance to continual performance; categories include 'A', 'B', or 'C' Conferences. Teams of the Association (League) may move up or down according to their performance spanning over the course of a year or so to maintain the competition at appropriate levels. The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) is an organization that sponsors activities in thirty-three sports, comprising 374 public high school, public and private high school, private high schools in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The MIAA is a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), which writes the rules for most U.S. high school sports and activities. The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is an List of NCAA conferences, intercollegiate athletic conference that competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA's Division III (NCAA), Division III. There are nine teams in the conference, all located in the states of Michigan and Indiana. The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association was established on March 24, 1888, making it the oldest List of college athletic conferences in the United States, college athletic conference in the United States. The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. Its fourteen member institutions, of which all but one are public schools, are located in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. The MIAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in Missouri. Originally named the Missouri Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the conference was established in 1912 with 14 members, two of which are still current members. Six members ( Central Methodist, Central Wesleyan, Culver-Stockton, Missouri Valley, Missouri Wesleyan, Tarkio College, Westminster, and William Jewell) were later removed from the conference in 1924 when it decided to only include the public schools.
