MC Kinky
Caron Liza Geary (born 15 October 1963 in Paddington, London), known by various stage names, is an English female raggamuffin toaster. She was the world's first white female reggae/dancehall MC, and the first dancehall MC ever, to chat reggae-inspired lyrics over house music. According to Geary, her first recorded track was over the dub version of "Kid Ralph", a dancehall track by Little Twitch. The song, unbeknown to her, spoke about a "legendary" homosexual figure in Jamaica's prison system. Her track was called "Reggae gone Kinky" and the dubplate was recorded at Music House in Finsbury Park. She has subsequently worked as a solo artist and with other musicians, including Erasure and Boy George, who described her music as "the dirtiest 'slackest' reggae I'd heard since the seventies". Paddington is an area in the City of Westminster, in central London, England. A medieval parish then a metropolitan borough of the County of London, it was integrated with Westminster and Greater London in 1965. "Get Over It" is the first solo single by MC Kinky. It charted at number 95 on the UK Singles Chart after being featured on an episode of Channel 4's '' The Word''. Background "Get Over It" is MC Kinky's first solo single after featuring on E-Zee Possee's " Everything Starts with an 'E'". It was written by MC Kinky and produced by her and Boy George (operating under the name 'The Hand of Jesus') with one version being released which had Apollo 440 on remixing duties. It was released on More Protein, a vanity label established by Boy George because no-one would release "Everything Starts with an 'E'". Jam & Spoon were a German electronic music duo formed in 1991 in Frankfurt. The group consisted of composers and producers Rolf Ellmer (a.k.a. Jam El Mar, classically trained composer) and Markus Löffel (a.k.a. Mark Spoon, DJ). They also worked under the pseudonyms Tokyo Ghetto Pussy, Storm and Big Room. Giovanni Giorgio Moroder (, ; born 26 April 1940) is an Italian composer and music producer. Dubbed the "Honorific nicknames in popular music, Father of Disco", Moroder is credited with pioneering Euro disco and electronic dance music. "Chase" (also known as "The Chase") is a instrumental composition by Italian music producer Giorgio Moroder. It was released as a single by Casablanca Records during 1978 from his Academy Award-winning soundtrack album ''Midnight Express'' (1978), and was a disco instrumental that was subsequently extended and released as a maxi single. Natacha Atlas (, , ; born 20 March 1964) is an Egyptian-Belgian singer known for her fusion of Arabic and Western music, particularly hip-hop. Simon Posford (born 28 October 1971), better known by his stage name Hallucinogen, is an English electronic musician, specializing in psychedelic trance music. His first studio album, '' Twisted'', released in 1995, is considered one of the most influential albums in the genre. His second album, '' The Lone Deranger'', was released in 1997. A third album consisting of Hallucinogen tracks remixed by the artist Ott, ''In Dub'', was released in 2002. He is also the founder of the label Twisted Records and works in the electronic groups Younger Brother and Shpongle.
