MBC The Voice
''The Voice: Ahla Sawt'' (; ''Ahla Sawt'' meaning "The Most Beautiful Voice") is the Arabic version of Dutch show ''The Voice of Holland'' created by John de Mol and produced by Talpa Media Group. The first season of MENA's version of ''The Voice'' debuted on 14 September 2012 and was broadcast worldwide from Beirut, Lebanon via MBC 1, a pan-Arabian television station. Through an agreement, the show was also simulcast via LBCI's channels. The first two season's main host was Egyptian actor Mohammad Kareem and Arwa Gouda. Nadine Wilson Njeim hosted from backstage. The format of ''The Voice: Ahla Sawt'' has three stages, which are the blind auditions, the battle rounds, and the live performances. In the blind auditions, each contestant will be allowed to sing for 90 seconds with each of the coaches having their backs to the singer. ''The Voice of Holland'', also known by its acronym ''TVOH'', is a Dutch singing reality competition television series that became a global TV format franchise, created by media tycoon John de Mol Jr. and musician Roel van Velzen in the Netherlands and airs on RTL 4. For the first nine seasons, ''The Voice of Holland'' was hosted by Martijn Krabbé and Wendy van Dijk. Starting from the tenth season (2019–2020), Wendy van Dijk was replaced by Chantal Janzen. The twelfth season concluded prematurely in 2022 due to sexual misconduct allegations relating to crew members, and the series was subsequently put on hiatus. It is set to return with a thirteenth season in January 2026. The central focus of the show is the singing talent and quality of the contestants. The fifth season of the Arabic reality talent show '' The Voice'' premiered on September 21, 2019, on MBC1 and MBC Masr. Mohamed Hamaki and Ahlam returned as coaches. Ragheb Alama and Samira Said replaced long time coach Assi El Helani and Elissa as coaches. ''The Voice Kids: Ahla Sawt'' is an Arabic TV series airing on MBC 1 and MBC 3.Hammond, Andrew. Pop Culture in North Africa and the Middle East: Entertainment and Society Around the World'. United States, ABC-CLIO, 2017. 151. It premiered on 2 January 2016. The three judges for the inaugural season were Tamer Hosny, Nancy Ajram and Kadim Al Sahir. There are four stages starting with the Blind Auditions. Contestants between the ages of 7 and 14 sing covers of already existing songs without being seen by the judges. If a coach likes the contestant's performance, they turn their chair. Each coach is allowed to have 15 contestants on their team. Simor Jalal
Simor Jalal (; born July 27, 1983), is an Iraqi singer, composer, and musician. Career He entered the music department of the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1999 and completed his studies there in 2004. Simor studied the oud and Turkish saz, and is also fluent in playing the piano and violin. He has recorded many Iraqi songs, some of his own composing and others composed by well-known Iraqi composers. He first became well known in the Arab world due to his participation in MBC The Voice, a program on the channel MBC, where he got positive comments from all judges for his musical and vocal skills.
