MBC Plus Drama
The MBC+ Drama was a Saudi free-to-air television channel owned by MBC Group. It was a joint venture between OSN and MBC Group. It was a 24-hour Arabic channel that offers a range of Arabic series ''First on TV'' to OSN subscribers starting 1 February 2009. MBC+ Drama claims to offer programs up to 3 months before any other channel. MBC+ Drama is the only channel among its sister channels at MBC Group that requires subscription. On 1 January 2016, MBC + Drama HD stopped broadcasting and was replaced with an OSN Ya Hala! Cinema HD promo due to MBC focusing on an alternative free-to-air channel MBC Drama and paid on-demand service Shahid VIP. As of October 2016, it has returned, but the logo has changed color from orange to purple and is now a pay-per-view channel with the same format as before. MBC Group
MBC Group (), formerly known as Middle East Broadcasting Center (), is a Saudi media conglomerate based in the Riyadh region. Launched in London in 1991, the company moved its headquarters to Dubai in 2002 and to Riyadh in 2022. It is majority owned by the Saudi government-operated Public Investment Fund. MBC Group operates over 19 free-to-air satellite TV channels, and a video-on-demand service (Shahid). MBC 1 was the first broadcaster to provide a satellite-based, free-to-air 24-hour television broadcasting network across the Arab world. The Group's current chairman is Sam Barnett. Arabiya (, transliterated: '; meaning "The Arabic One" or "The Arab One") is a Saudi state-owned international Arabic news television channel. It is based in Riyadh and is a subsidiary of MBC Group. Um Hārūn (, ) is a Kuwaiti television series that started airing during Ramadan in 2020, a time when TV viewership in Arabic-speaking countries is very high. Mawqef Micro () is a Syrian animated television series. It was Free Dome Media's second 2D cartoon animated production aimed at an adult audience. The first being ''Dr. Psycho''. The show criticizes certain aspects, practices and retrograde ideologies found within the Syrian society and government, while simultaneously highlighting positive traits. Ramez Wakel el-Gaw ("Ramez in Control") is an Egyptian pranking television program, which aired everyday, through Ramadan 2015, on MBC Masr and MBC 1. Background Ramez Galal is a famous Egyptian prankster whose prank TV show episodes are released and watched during Ramadan. In 2011, he starred in Ramez Qalb al-Assad, Ramez, The Desert Fox in 2012, which was highly criticized, Ramez Ankh Amon in 2013 and Ramez, The Sea Shark in 2014. ''Bab Al-Hara'' (; "The Neighbourhood's Gate") is one of the most popular television series in the Arab world, reportedly watched by millions of people in the Arab world. The series chronicles the daily happenings and family dramas in a neighborhood in Damascus, Syria in the inter-war period under French rule when the local population yearned for independence.
