MAX (operating System)
MaX, also known as Madrid_linux is a Linux distribution created with funds from the Conserjería de Educación, Juventud y Deporte of the Comunidad de Madrid adapted for use in educational environments. The main features of this operating system are simplicity, stability, and a huge collection of software. History Start MaX started out simply as an educational distribution made for lower performance computers, since most of the computers in the schools of the Comunidad de Madrid had only 32 bits and very little RAM, so they had problems with the main operating systems. Later, more members joined the ''Max Group'' and received suggestions for improvements and additions. In 2013 they already had 60 members, including professors of all kinds. Desktop and Support During the first versions of MaX it was used with the KDE desktop environment and only supported 32-bit computers of the i486 architecture, until MaX version 3, where the processor architecture was changed to i386, also ... Community Of Madrid
The Community of Madrid (; ) is one of the seventeen autonomous communities and 50 provinces of Spain, provinces of Spain. It is located at the heart of the Iberian Peninsula and Meseta Central, Central Plateau (); its capital and largest municipality is Madrid. The Community of Madrid is bounded to the south and east by Castilla–La Mancha and to the north and west by Castile and León. It was formally created in 1983, in order to address the particular status of the city of Madrid as the capital of the Spanish State and in urban hierarchy. Its boundaries are coextensive with those of the province of Madrid, which was until then conventionally included in the historical region of New Castile (Spain), New Castile (''Castilla la Nueva'').
