Mahal (Toro Y Moi Album)
''Mahal'' is the seventh studio album by American musician Toro y Moi, released on April 29, 2022, through Dead Oceans, as his first release under this label. The title is derived from the Tagalog language, Tagalog word "mahal", which translates to "love" or "expensive" in English. Background The albums draws inspiration from Chaz Bear's maternal Filipino heritage. Growing up, he held closer ties to his mother's family than his father's, feeling that his Black heritage was "overlooked" by both himself and others until he began making music. After recording a first iteration of the album, Bear took time to rethink the vision of the record, incorporating the automotive theme that is present on the final version. This theme was inspired by Bear's love of jeepneys, repurposed military jeeps left behind after the American colonization of the Philippines, now a common mode of transportation in the country. For the rollout of the album, Bear purchased a jeepney which he drove to fan me ...

Aulë
The Valar (; singular Vala) are characters in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth writings. They are "angelic powers" or "gods" subordinate to the one God ( Eru Ilúvatar). The '' Ainulindalë'' describes how some of the Ainur choose to enter the world ( Arda) to complete its material development after its form is determined by the Music of the Ainur. The mightiest of these are called the Valar, or "the Powers of the World", and the others are known as the Maiar. The Valar are mentioned briefly in ''The Lord of the Rings'' but Tolkien had developed them earlier, in material published posthumously in '' The Silmarillion'', especially the "Valaquenta" ( Quenya: "Account of the Valar"), ''The History of Middle-earth'', and '' Unfinished Tales''. Scholars have noted that the Valar resemble angels in Christianity but that Tolkien presented them rather more like pagan gods. Their role in providing what the characters in Middle-earth experience as luck or providence is also discuss ...

Mahal Dialect
Maldivian, also known by its endonym Dhivehi (, ''Dhivēhī'', ), is an Indo-Aryan language belonging to the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family, primarily spoken by the Maldivian people native to the South Asian archipelagic state of the Maldives; as well as the neighbouring Minicoy Island within Lakshadweep, a union territory of India. The Maldivian language has four notable dialects. The standard dialect is that of the capital city of Malé. The greatest dialectal variation exists in the southern atolls of Huvadhu, Addu and Fuvahmulah. Each of these atolls has its own distinct dialect often thought to be interconnected with each other while being widely different from the dialect spoken in the northern atolls. The southern dialects are so distinct that those only speaking northern dialects cannot understand them. The ethnic endonym for the language, ''Divehi'', is occasionally found in English as ''Dhivehi'' (spelled according to the locally used ...

Mahal (palace)
Mahal (), meaning "a mansion or a palace", though it may also refer to "living quarters for a set of people". It is an Indian word which derives from the Persian word ''mahal'', deriving from the Arabic word ''mahall'' which in turn is derived from ''ḥall'' ‘stopping place, abode’. A place of destination would therefore be referred to as "mahal anuzul". A place of recreation would be referred to as "mahal anunzul". The term máhal to refer to a place was also adopted in Hindi for example Panch Mahals and Jungle Mahals. The word developed its meaning for palace as in opposition to that of a jhopri or a "dilapidated house" as a neologism. Both Muslim and Hindu rulers built many Mahals in India. Notable mahals * Aina Mahal * Hawa Mahal * Hindola Mahal * Jahangir Mahal * Jahangiri Mahal named after Emperor Jahangir * Jahaz Mahal * Jal Mahal * Lal Mahal * Lalitha Mahal * Noor Mahal * Panch Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri * Pari Mahal * Prag Mahal * Shah Jahani Mahal a par ...
