The M27 road is a short metropolitan route in the City of Tshwane in Gauteng, South Africa. It is in the city of Centurion, connecting Rooihuiskraal with Pierre van Ryneveld Park via the Centurion CBD and Lyttelton. Route The M27 begins in Rooihuiskraal North, at a junction with the M37 route (Rooihuiskraal Road). It begins by heading eastwards as Theuns van Niekerk Street for a few metres before becoming Estcourt Avenue eastwards and reaching a junction with the R101 route (Old Johannesburg Road) in Hennopspark. The M27 continues eastwards as Lenchen Avenue to fly over the N14 highway (Ben Schoeman Freeway) and pass through the Zwartkop suburb to enter the Centurion CBD, where it temporarily becomes two one-way streets and meets the M19 route (John Vorster Drive). N14 (South Africa)
The N14 is a national route in South Africa which runs from Springbok in the Northern Cape to Pretoria in Gauteng. It passes through Upington, Kuruman, Vryburg, Krugersdorp and Centurion. The section between Pretoria and Krugersdorp is maintained by the Gauteng Provincial government and is also designated the P158, and is also a 4-lane dual carriageway with 2 lanes in each direction. Waterkloof Air Force Base
Air Force Base Waterkloof is an airbase of the South African Air Force. It is situated on the outskirts of Pretoria, and is the SAAF's busiest airbase. The base's name, ''Waterkloof'', is Afrikaans. It means ''Water Ravine'' in English. Despite the name, this base is not located in Waterkloof, Pretoria, but lies to the south of Pretoria, to the northeast of Centurion, Gauteng and from AFB Swartkop, at an elevation of 1506 metres (4940 ft). The M18 road is a long metropolitan route in Gauteng, South Africa. It connects Pretoria with Thembisa via Centurion and Olifantsfontein. It is an alternative route to the R21 Freeway for travel between Pretoria and Thembisa. Hennops River
The Hennops River is one of the larger rivers that drains Gauteng, South Africa. It has its source near Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg and meets the Crocodile River (Limpopo) shortly before Hartbeespoort Dam. It is one of Gauteng's most polluted rivers. Course The Hennops River starts in Terenure, Kempton Park, and flows in a northerly direction towards Tembisa township. It then flows past Olifantsfontein and meets the Sesmyl Spruit which flows out of the Rietvlei Dam. The river then turns north-west flowing through the centre of Centurion. Zwartkop
Zwartkop is a residential suburb next to Centurion, Gauteng, Centurion lake in Centurion, South Africa. Historically the suburb was part of the town of Centurion. The suburb is located on a cluster of hills south-west of the Centurion lake. Ben Schoeman Freeway
The Ben Schoeman Freeway or Ben Schoeman Highway is the main freeway between Johannesburg and Pretoria, and consists of portions of the M1, N1, and N14. Opened in 1968, it is named after a former Minister of Transport Ben Schoeman, and is undoubtedly the busiest road in South Africa. Route The Ben Schoeman Highway begins under the designation of the M1, just north of the Corlett Drive exit, where the M1 is no longer under the maintenance of the Johannesburg Roads Agency. South of Corlett Drive, the M1 is known as the De Villiers Graaff Motorway. The M1 ends at the Buccleuch interchange with the N3 and N1 highways ( Johannesburg Ring Road). R101 (South Africa)
The R101 is a Regional Route in South Africa that is the designation for some of the old sections of roads that were previously the N1, prior to upgrading. It only has 2 sections, from Bellville to Worcester and from Johannesburg to Polokwane. Western Cape The R101 starts in Bellville at the R102 running to the east parallel to the newer N1 freeway and is named 'Old Paarl Road'. It then goes through Brackenfell before entering Kraaifontein as 'Voortrekker Road'.
