A route (or road) number, designation or abbreviation is an identifying numeric (or alphanumeric) designation assigned by a highway authority to a particular stretch of roadway to distinguish it from other routes and, in many cases, also to indicate its classification (e.g. motorway, primary route, regional road, etc.), general geographical location (in zonal numbering systems) and/or orientation (north-south v. east-west). The M18 is a motorway in Yorkshire, England. It runs from the east of Rotherham to Goole and is approximately long. A section of the road forms part of the unsigned International E-road network, Euroroute European route E13, E13. Route The M18 runs in a north-east–south-west direction from junction 32 of the M1 motorway to junction 35 of the M62 motorway. It passes east of Rotherham, south-east of Doncaster and Armthorpe, and west of Thorne, South Yorkshire, Thorne. The M18 motorway () is an inter-urban motorway in Republic of Ireland, Ireland, forming part of the Limerick, Ennis to Galway (city), Galway national primary road, which, in turn, forms part of the Atlantic Corridor called for as part of the Transport 21 project. Route The motorway starts at junction 9 on the Shannon, County Clare, Shannon bypass and heads in a northerly direction where it bypasses the town of Newmarket-on-Fergus via the townlands of Killulla, Knocksaggart and Ballyconneely. The R21 highway (in Cyrillic Р21), also known as the Kola Motorway, is a major highway in Russia, running from Saint Petersburg to Murmansk. The highway is part of European route E105 and is the main transportation route by road in the Republic of Karelia and the Murmansk Oblast. Its length is 1592 kilometers. Before 2018, the R21 was designated as M18. Highway M18 is a Ukraine, Ukrainian international highway (State Highways (Ukraine), M-highway) connecting Kharkiv to the southern coast of Crimea in Yalta. The highway is also has an alternative route (Highway M29 (Ukraine), M29) which runs parallel and designed as an expressway between Kharkiv and Novomoskovsk, Ukraine, Novomoskovsk. The section from Novomoskovsk to Yalta is part of European route E105. The section from Kharkiv to Krasnohrad was previously P51. The M18 is a long metropolitan route in Greater Johannesburg, South Africa. It connects Krugersdorp with Bruma via Constantia Kloof, Florida, Auckland Park, Braamfontein and Observatory. It is an alternative route to the R24 route for travel between Krugersdorp and Bruma.
