M. Sukumaran
M. Sukumaran (1943–2018) was an Indian writer of Malayalam literature, best known for his novels and short stories with political undertones. ''Marichittillathavarude Smarakangal'', ''Seshakriya'', ''Chuvanna Chihnangal'' and ''Janithakam'' feature among his works and five of his stories have been adapted into films. A two time recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for Best Story, Sukumaran received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Story in 1976 and the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2006. Biography M. Sukumaran was born in 1943 at Chittur in Palakkad District of the south Indian state of Kerala to Narayana Mannadiar and Meenakshi Amma. Chittoor is a city and district headquarters in Chittoor district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Rajiv Vijay Raghavan (born 29 May 1958) is an Indian director, script writer, and producer. His debut feature film was ''Margam (film)''. He had also made a number of documentaries. He is an alumnus of Film & TV Institute of India, Pune, and assisted G. Aravindan . Life Rajiv Vijay Raghavan was born on 29 May 1958 in Kottayam, Kerala, South-western India. He was active in politics and literature in his college days at Kottayam and was a council member of the University Students Union of Kerala University during 1977–78. After graduating in Commerce from the University of Kerala he joined the Film & TV Institute of India, Pune, during 1979–81. Raghavan took a job in Canara Bank on 1981 and worked there for 10 years. The Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters, is an organisation dedicated to the promotion of literature in the languages of India. Founded on 12 March 1954, it is supported by, though independent of, the Indian government. Its office is located in Rabindra Bhavan near Mandi House in Delhi. The Kerala Sahitya Akademi or Academy for Malayalam literature is an autonomous body established to promote the Malayalam language and literature. It is situated in City of Thrissur, Kerala in India. History The academy was inaugurated on 15 October 1956, by Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the former king of Travancore, in Thiruvananthapuram. It was shifted to its present location at City of Thrissur in September, 1957. Though the Kerala Government provides the funding and support for the academy, the administration of the academy is autonomous according to its constitution. Mohammed Abdur Rahiman
Muhammad Abdu Rahiman, also Muhammad Abdu Rahiman Sahib; 1898 – 23 April 1945) was an Indian freedom fighter, Muslim leader, scholar, and politician from Kerala. He served as president of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee(Malabar) in 1939. Early life and education Sahib was born at Azhikode, Kodungallur, Thrissur District in 1898 in the Kingdom of Cochin, India. He completed his schooling at Veniyambadi and Calicut. Swadeshabhimani Ramakrishna Pillai
K. Ramakrishna Pillai (1878–1916) was an Indian nationalist writer, journalist, editor, and political activist. He edited ''Swadeshabhimani(newspaper), Swadeshabhimani'' (The Patriot), the newspaper which became a potent weapon against the rule of the British and the erstwhile princely state of Travancore (Kerala, India) and a tool for social transformation.
