M. D. Nataraj
Dr M. D. Nataraj was a politician of Karnataka state and the son-in-law of Devaraj Urs, sometime Chief Minister of Karnataka. He was also a Doctor and practiced Ayurveda. Family Nataraj was married to Nagaratna, the second daughter of Devaraj Urs. The marriage was a love marriage and inter caste marriage: Urs was from the Arasu caste and Nataraj from the Kuruba Gowda caste. Nataraj and Nagaratna are survived by 3 children namely Suraj MN Hegde, Suhasini Satyadeep and Sudevraj MN Hegde Nagaratna died, aged 28, after falling into a 60-foot-deep well. Her slippers were found nearby, outside the well, so it was suspected that she had committed suicide. Politics Nataraj formed the "Indira Brigade". Devaraj Urs
Devaraj Devaraj Arasu (20 August 1915 – 6 June 1982) was an Indian politician who served two terms as the Chief Minister of Karnataka (1972–77, 1978–80). He is also the longest serving Chief Minister of Karnataka in terms of days of tenure in office. He is the only person to serve as Chief Minister of both erstwhile Mysuru state and renamed Karnataka state. He entered politics in 1952 and was an MLA for 10 years. Kuruba Gowda
Kuruba is a Hindu caste native to the Indian state of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. They are the third-largest caste group in Karnataka.
