Messier 93
Messier 93 or M93, also known as NGC 2447 or the Critter Cluster, is an open cluster in the modestly southern constellation Puppis, the imagined poop deck of the legendary ''Argo (ship), Argo''. Observational history and appearance It was discovered by Charles Messier then added to his catalogue of comet-like objects in 1781. Caroline Herschel, the younger sister of William Herschel, independently discovered it in 1783, thinking it had not yet been catalogued by Messier. Walter Scott Houston (died 1993) described its appearance: Some observers mention the cluster as having the shape of a starfish. With a fair-sized telescope, this is its appearance on a dull night, but [a four-inch refractor] shows it as a typical star-studded galactic cluster. Properties It has a Trumpler class of , indicating it is strongly concentrated (I) with a large range in brightness (3) and is rich in stars (r). M93 is about 3,380 light-years from the solar radius and has a great spatial radius of 10 ...

Mannlicher M1893
The Mannlicher M1893 (or M93) is a bolt-action rifle that was the standard service rifle of the Kingdom of Romania from 1893 to 1938. The rifle and its 1892 predecessor were the first repeating rifles to be widely issued in the Romanian military. It was later replaced by the Czechoslovakia, Czechoslovak-designed Vz. 24 as the standard service rifle. Development Around the year 1890 the Romanian military started its search for a small bore, smokeless powder firearm to replace the breech-loading single-shot Martini–Henry#Turkish, Romanian, and Boer Republics Peabody–Martini–Henry rifles, Martini–Henry M1879. They turned to the nearby Steyr Mannlicher, Österreichische Waffenfabriksgesellschaft (ŒWG) in Steyr, Austria-Hungary where then-factory manager Otto Schönauer was modifying the German Gewehr 1888 rifle, the license on which ŒWG got as a compensation for patent infringement by the Komissiongewehr's designers on Ferdinand Mannlicher's ''en-bloc clip'' feeding system. ...

Salvator-Dormus M1893
The Salvator-Dormus M1893 also known as Skoda M1893 was a heavy machine gun of Austro-Hungarian origin. It was patented by Archduke Karl Salvator of Austria and Count George von Dormus and was manufactured by Škoda Works Plzeň. The Salvator-Dormus was chambered in the 8x50mmR round fed from an overhead magazine and was water-cooled with an oil lubrication device. There was also a pendulum adjustment in the trigger mechanism that allowed the operator to select the cyclic rate of fire, anywhere from 180 to 250 rounds per minute. The M1893 was cheaper than the Maxim gun but was gradually replaced by the Schwarzlose MG M.07/12. One of these machine guns was taken to Peking by sailors from the SMS ''Zenta'' and used during the successful 1900 defence of the Austro-Hungarian Embassy in Peking. Although secondary sources often cite the gun needing a stationary mounting limited to ships and fortifications, this machine gun had both a tripod and landing carriage mounting as evidenced ...
