Cantemir () is a district () in the south of Moldova, with the administrative center at Cantemir. As of January 1, 2011, its population was 62,800. History Localities with the earliest documentary attestation of the district are: Haragîș, Stoianeuca, Lărguța, Cîrpești localities approved for the first time in the period 1443-1489. In the 16th and 17th centuries, most of all to develop trade, agriculture and there is a significant population increase. Poșta Moldovei () is the company responsible for postal service in Moldova. It was founded in April 1993. History The company was founded on 1 April 1993, as a result of the division of the postal communications sector from that of telecommunications. They were awarded the status of national operator in 1995, and thus given the sole rights to operate a postal system in Moldova. Since June 2005, the Poșta Moldovei is under the direction of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications.
