The Lysiane Lauret Challenge or Trophée Lysiane Lauret (earlier known as Morzine Avoriaz and Danse sur Glace de Grenoble) was an international figure skating competition held in Morzine, France. It was generally held in March or April. Medals were awarded in ice dancing. Ilona Melnichenko ( uk, Ілона Мельниченко) is a former ice dancer who competed for the Soviet Union. With former partner Gennady Kaskov, she is the 1987 World Junior champion and 1991 Winter Universiade champion. She is from Odessa and has a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the Odessa State Institute of Physical Culture. Melnichenko was married to former pair skater Artem Torgeshev, the 1987 World Junior silver medalist, with whom she has two children, Andrew and Deana. Georgi "Gorsha" Sur (born January 1, 1967) is a former ice dancer who represented the United States and the Soviet Union. With Svetlana Liapina for the Soviet Union, he is a two-time World Junior medalist. With Renée Roca for the U.S., he is a two-time U.S. national champion (1993, 1995).
