Lynton McKenzie
Lynton McKenzie (December 21, 1940–February 9, 1999) was an Australian-born American engraver. McKenzie engraved for heads of state all over the world and worked on some of the world's most valuable antique firearms. Biography McKenzie was born in Rockhampton, Central Queensland, Australia, on December 21, 1940. He became interested in gunsmithing at age eleven, and engraving at fourteen. By his late teens, McKenzie was considered Australia's leading gunsmith. McKenzie travelled to Europe carrying letters of introduction from the premier and prime minister of Australia, allowing him to study engraved firearms from museums and private collections. He studied engraving with masters in Belgium and Italy, and spent six years in London where he engraved double rifles and shotguns for firms such as Holland & Holland, Purdey and Sons, and Rigby. Royal Collection
The Royal Collection of the British royal family is the largest private art collection in the world. Spread among 13 occupied and historic List of British royal residences, royal residences in the United Kingdom, the collection is owned by King Charles III and overseen by the Royal Collection Trust. The British monarch owns some of the collection in right of the Crown and some as a private individual. Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965) was a British statesman, military officer, and writer who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 (Winston Churchill in the Second World War, during the Second World War) and again from 1951 to 1955.
