Lynton Fitzpatrick
Lynton Fitzpatrick (born 17 January 1967) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He later had Connor Fitzpatrick and Jade Fitzpatrick and ended up marrying Sue Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick, recruited locally from Footscray District Football League team Deer Park, was a defender. He made 18 senior appearances for Footscray, from 1987 to 1989. Geelong secured him in the 1990 Pre-Season Draft but he didn't play a league game for the club. He went on to have a noted career with Werribee in the Victorian Football Association (later Victorian Football League). The Deer Park Football Club is an Australian rules football club competing in the Essendon District Football League as of December 2022. It previously competed in the Western Region Football League (WRFL) since 1935. It is based in the Melbourne suburb of Deer Park. Western Region Football League
The Western Region Football League is an Australian rules football semi-professional league, based in the western suburbs of Melbourne, for both seniors and juniors. History The league was formed in 1931 as the "Footscray District Football League". During the 1950s, the VFL club Footscray was financially backing the competition, so they decided to bar clubs that were inside the zone. This resulted in six clubs leaving. More changes occurred in 1952 as the league decided that clubs had to provide an under-18 competition; this action reduced the club numbers down to twelve. The next initiative was the introduction of an under-16 competition in 1954. Western Bulldogs
The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football team that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. 1989 VFL Draft
The 1989 VFL draft was the fourth annual national draft held by the Victorian Football League (since changed its name to Australian Football League) as the main method for the 14 teams to recruit players for the 1990 season. The Werribee Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football club, based in Werribee. The club was formed in 1964 and currently plays in the Victorian Football League (VFL). In Australian sport, the best and fairest award recognises the player(s) adjudged to have had the best performance in a game or over a season for a given sporting club or competition. The awards are sometimes dependent on not receiving a suspension for misconduct or breaching the rules during that season.
