Lynard Stewart
Lynard Stewart (born May 12, 1976) is an American former professional basketball player and current high school basketball coach. Playing career The 6'8" forward/center played at Temple University, where he graduated in 1998, before signing a professional contract in China with the Beijing Ducks. The following season saw him move to Europe to play in the Czech Republic with Mlekarna Kunin and then moved back to his hometown to play for Philadelphia Force in 2000. Further ventures with Maccabi Karmiel (Israel), Siouxland Bombers, and Potros de Villa Francisca (Dominican Republic) followed before he eventually settled with Sheffield Sharks in 2001. After three seasons with the Sharks, he moved south to play for their title-rivals in the British Basketball League, London Towers, where he spent two more seasons. British Basketball League
The British Basketball League (BBL) was a men's professional basketball sports league, league in Great Britain. Since its establishment in 1987 the BBL represented the highest level of basketball competition within the United Kingdom. The organisation that operated the competition, Basketball League Limited, folded in July 2024 after the British Basketball Federation terminated its operating license. It was succeeded as the top-level men's basketball competition with Super League Basketball. The BBL operated as a Franchising, franchise model where each member team is located within a separate franchise area. Most recently (in 2023/24), the League featured 10 member franchises from England and Scotland who jointly own the organisation and a chairman was elected by the teams to oversee operations. Rasheed Wallace
Rasheed Abdul Wallace (born September 17, 1974) is an American basketball coach and former professional player. A native of Philadelphia, Wallace played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels before declaring for the draft in 1995. He played 16 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Originally selected by the Washington Bullets (now known as the Washington Wizards) as the fourth pick in the 1995 NBA draft, Wallace was named to the All-Rookie second team following his first season. He was then traded to the Portland Trail Blazers after the season. He was a key member of the Trail Blazers team that made it to the Western Conference Finals in 1999 and 2000, and he was an NBA All-Star in 2000 and 2001. Stephen Stewart (basketball)
Stephen Stewart (born 1972) is an American former basketball player and coach. He is 6'5" and played the shooting guard and small forward positions. Stewart grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and attended Parkway Center City High School. After graduation, he enrolled at Coppin State University to play for head coach Fang Mitchell. He was forced to sit out his freshman season, however, due to the NCAA's Proposition 48. When his collegiate career began as a sophomore in 1992–93, he exploded onto the scene in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC): Stewart led the Eagles to a 1993 MEAC tournament title, was named the MEAC Tournament Outstanding Performer and was also named the MEAC Rookie of the Year. Throughout his three-year career, Stewart accumulated 1,393 points and 546 rebounds.
